Finishing the walls, now buying hardware

It looks like we’ll have the office wall construction project wrapped up by Saturday. I ordered a new computer for the office, and am shopping for a copier/fax/scanner in anticipation of having a clean, dedicated work space, at Passion instead of just at my home.

This is the skeleton of the office, warehouse, and receiving area. Two standing framed walls, one 14 feet, the other 40 feet long.

Here’s the same shot, with most of the sheetrock installed. We built this wall on the ground, in 10 to 16 foot sections, and raised it up like barn walls. We anchored each section to the ceiling, and started building the next.

And the same shot again, with all the sheetrock hung and partially taped and mudded.

Berry was the elevated man, hanging ten off the homemade scaffolding to reach the top seam in the sheetrock. He has been claiming a museum quality seam joining ability, and I have been cracking the whip to keep on schedule. We’ll get what we get, so don’t point out any visible joints or cracks to either of us when you stop by.
