As usual, we will be sponsoring goodies at the Belmont Caltrain Energizer Station, with Paul Wendt being the kind soul who mans the station and helps cyclists on their way. Also, one thing we can do is to really encourage YOU, the cycling enthusiast, to ride your bike to work and to help another person try out riding to work for the first time.

Please consider sending co-workers a note letting them know you can help with route planning, wardrobe suggestions, and so forth, so that their experience is a positive one, like yours is.

The SF Bike Coalition has a great website with all kinds of information on Bike to Work Day, and while you are there you can subscribe to their excellent e-newsletter

P. L. E. A. S. E. . . . P. U. T. . . . L. I. G. H. T. S. . . . O. N ! ! ! !

Please remember to put a light on your handlebar and have a blinky ready for the ride back to the shop! CA vehicle code requires it.

Don’t get caught out on the streets in the dark! Also, a reminder that we need to be super conscientious about stopping at stop

signs and lights, yielding to pedestrians, and operating our bikes predictably and responsibly while on the roads and trails.

Let’s be safe and kind out there.

For all the details about what makes each group listed below unique, please refer to this webpage. If your questions aren’t answered there, you can also email us for info at

info@passiontrailbikes.com.

All rides start pedaling from the shop: Passion Trail Bikes, CA 94002 650-620-9798.

The FRISKY ride will go out at 6:40 PM.
The REGULAR ride will go out at 6:45 PM.
The WHITE SOCKS ride will go out at 6:50 PM.
The FBG or Flabby Bellied Guy ride will go out at 6:50 PM.
The STRAGGLERS ride may form and start chasing around 7:00 PM.

For future planning, we have the upcoming start times each week for the first wave of the REGULAR ride posted on our Community Calendar

Note we may not have leaders for each ride but usually someone knows their way around. All groups will meet back here at Passion Trail Bikes right around dark for the usual story telling & beverage

enjoyment. Depending on group consensus and size, we may order pizza, or burritos, or who knows what. We will have chips and fatty

snacks and EANABS to pair up with the Devil’s Canyon Brewery’s Full Boar Scotch Ale, Silicon Blonde Ale, and Devil’s

Canyon Organic Root Beer. We will hang out until about 9pm, so come on down, even if you can’t make the ride! Passion Parties are

better with YOU in the mix!

The following week Patty will be leading the FBG wride, with coaching and other fun stuff for newbies. We are looking for volunteers for food that night, so step right up and send send Patty an email at patty@passiontrailbikes.com. Or, if you just can’t do it yourself, we encourage you to recruit your favorite wrider to be our next chef.

Miro attacks encroaching brush with the loppers

Kevin Sullivan reported that as he was riding about Waterdog the other day, he was complaining that really!! whoever is in charge of trailwork should really get out there and start doing some brushing! And then, he realized, oh, yeah. $&* That’s him. :-P

Please join him for just a few hours after work next Tuesday, or pick a weekend day from the list below. Please send Kevin an email at ksullyman@yahoo.com if you want to lend a hand on the trails at Waterdog. Shoot him your contact info and he will hook you up with the details on where to meet.
