Well, it’s hailing as I write, and the trails are soggy again. What a difference a week makes! So, here’s the news on the trail, on April 20, 2010
1. Wednesday Wrides – Not this Week
2. Trailwork in Waterdog Earthday Thursday 4/22 4PM

Sunset is at 7:49PM this Wednesday 04/21/2010. Twilight ends and near-darkness falls right around 8:40pm.
Next week on April 28 the Regular Ride launches at 6:15PM.
Regretfully, due to soggy trail conditions now, and a forecast of showers and cold temps which will keep the trails moist, we are not planning on a Wednesday Wride this week. See you next Wednesday, or get your workout in on Thursday digging in the soft dirt (see below).

We will be doing what we can this Thursday afternoon to move forward on the north side of the Lake Loop Realignment. Depending on turnout, we will either prepare the trail tread from the dam to the first bridge site so we can bring in materials for the bridge footings, or we will work on fine-tuning the as-yet-uncleared trail corridor from the end of the last section of cut trail to the western bridge site. So we may be brushing and tying ribbons and poking in flags, or we might be moving dirt from the slide to top off the last retaining wall, fixing the culvert plug, and a few miscellaneous projects on that side of the lake. If you want to help out, please RSVP to Patty at patty@passiontrailbikes.com, you will get confirmation and details on the project. Meet at 4pm on the dam, we will work until dusk. Late arrivals are OK, but please RSVP, OK??
Upcoming dates on our trailwork calendar are as follows:
Thursday 4/22 4:00pm (Earthday)
Saturday 5/8 8:30am
Later May and June projects TBD
