1. Demo Bikes ON SALE – Great Bargains on Really Nice Bikes
Skip to next topic
It’s the end of the season and the 2010 bikes are rolling in from most of the manufacturers. In turn we are selling off a few of our demo bikes to make room for a few new ones we have coming in. All of these bikes have been well maintained and tuned to run great for each test ride they went out on.
The first couple of bikes we’re giving up are two 2009 Specialized Enduro Expert SLs in size XL and Medium. They feature adjustable Fox Talas forks that allows the rider to pick their level of travel between 140, 120 or 100mm, complete with compression/rebound adjust and lockout. The fork is accompanied by a Fox Triad rear shock that was custom-tuned for the Stumpjumper to enable on-the-fly three-position damping with open, lockout and ProPedal settings, plus adjustable rebound. Other highlights include custom Avid Elixir brakes, XTR rear derailleur, and DT swiss X420SL rims. The full specs can be found here.
New retail price was $4600, sale price is $2100, save 54% off.

We also have a 2008 Specialized S-Works Stumpjumper FSR size Large. The frame features FACT 10m carbon main triangle, Az1 construction, M5 alloy chainstays with Brain mount, FACT 10m carbon seatstays with carbon drive side dropout, DMD Direct Mount F.Der, full cartridge bearing pivots, and 120mm of travel. The Future Shock S120 fork contains the Trail Tune inertia valve, adjustable Brain Fade and rebound, and piggyback one sided air spring and damper. Full specs can be found here.
New retail price was $6700, sale price is $3700, save 45% off.

Next is our black anodized Santa Cruz Blur XC size Small. It includes a Rock Shox Reba SL fork paired with a Fox Float R, Shimano LX cranks, XT rear derailleur with an SLX front derailleur. WTB Rocket V seat on a Race Face post with a Cane Creek headset and Avid Juicy 5 brakes. This bike is quick, snappy and trail ready. Get details on this bike here.
New retail price was $2950, sale price is $1800, save 39% off.

Last but not least is our 2009 medium Giant Reign XO. Its key components include a Fox 36 Float RC2 fork with 160mm of travel, a Fox DHX 4.0 air rear shock, SRAM X.9 shifters/X.0 rear derailleur with Avid Elixer CR disc brakes, Crank Brothers Joplin adjustable seatpost, WTB LaserDisc Trail rim/WTB LaserDisc Lite 20mm hub wheelset. 5. Passion’s Candlelight Halloween Party 10/29Skip to next topic

Perhaps you didn’t know that Halloween is Charles’ favorite holiday. Hmmm. It gets us all speculating. Why Halloween and not, say Christmas, when the shop is hoppin’ with eager buyers? We’re not really sure, but maybe it’s that his inner werewolf gets restless and needs expression. Maybe it’s the fun of guessing who is behind that amazing disguise. Maybe it’s the dim lights, candles, and dark shadows.
Whatever it is, Charles needs you to come celebrate Halloween with him. If you come, you are sure to be delighted by the wonderful costumes, the very special mood lighting of hundreds of candles, the great food and drink, the comraderie of hanging out with like minded and equally deranged friends. So, do it. Put the Passion Halloween Party on your calendar now, and start planning your escape from reality.
Thursday October 29th. 8:00pm to 11:00pm-ish6. ONE Awesome Ride in SF 11/8 (SF Flow is postponed)
17th Annual Tour of the S.F. Hills
Sunday, November 8th
(Note: I’ve finally switched from the first Sunday to the second to avoid foot traffic from the US Half Marathon race.)
Meet at the parking lot across the street from the Marina Safeway at 9A.M.
The ride explores a multitude of neighborhoods in the city, taking the most difficult path from cafe to taqueria. With the many hilltops in the city, and with the usual good luck with weather conditions, the riders are treated to frequent magnificent views. The parade of cyclists winding down Lombard St. and then climbing the 32% grade on Filbert St. always attracts the attention of tourists. Other sites explored on the ride are Potrero Hill (with the fast descent down the “other” crookedest street in the world), Coit Tower, Nob Hill, and Mt. Davidson. A bonus feature is the optional ascent of the Broderick St. sidewalk in Pacific Heights. This street, below the Levi mansion, is so steep that it is blocked off to traffic – the upper half being a driveway more crooked than Lombard St. A casual pace on the ride ensures that the attrition rate is low, but the prospect of climbing Hill St. after scarfing burritos in the Mission always sheds a few riders.
