Trailwork Season

Just a little note to you all that we are continuing to work on completing the Lake Loop Trail realingment project around the lake in Waterdog Park.
Heather and Nathan setting the boards in for the retaining wall around the oaks on the Lake Loop Trail. The wires are strung between the posts for the retaining wall on the right, and dead-man anchors are driven into the ground on the left; these will help keep the retaining wall upright over the years. This entire area behind the boards was then filled with dirt up to the level of Nathan’s collarbones.
The dirt is PERFECT for digging, and we have a great section to work with minimal poison oak, sunshine, a few rocks to keep things interesting, and a babbling brook just below. Please come join us and make some new trail you can put YOUR name on.
