The Doors are in and the Place is Shaping Up

I have driven in through the roll up door for the last time. Passion now has a new set of glass doors and windows, more in line with what we are trying to get away with here. Having a huge doorway for drive in deliveries was nice while it lasted, but now that the temperatures have dropped, I have had trouble deciding whether to keep the inside outside cool, or make a hard to find shop darned right impossible to notice. This make the decision easy, keeps the PG & E bill tolerable, and might help keep money trickling into the till.

We still need to do some sealing to keep more of the elements out, and then some painting as well to raise awareness of what we are doing, and where, but this is a big step. At the same time, we had the glass guys repair the “other” door, now known as the lounge door, before it fell out into the street. It had a fatal injury to the closing mechanism and hinge, but is doing fine now.
All the walls inside are now not only standing, but painted and in use. The dressing room was the last to be completed, and it is now wired, painted, and ready to house test fittings. We still have lot of work to do overhead, mostly with lighting and displays, but the floorplan is complete. More photos of the clothing area and dressing room will follow.

Kevin Goodman got the job I hope no one notices. First he installed the alarm box and wired it into our phone panel, then he jumped right into upgrading the phone system to two sales lines, one fax line, and one line dedicated to DSL. We now have multiple communication paths for our customers to reach us, and for us to reach out, and also for RFI to keep in touch with the building. We have a full fire and security system that has tested more sensitive than a pack of junkyard hounds.
