The Ladder and the Lounge

Passion has two very high profile projects going on right now. The first is one of the Bike Dioramas, the North Shore ladder, and the second is the plumbing of the Lounge, which sounds pretty boring at first mention but is sure to become a social focal point.
Shane Reed and Scott Robinson have designed the North Shore ladder, which will be a 17 foot long elevated ladder, coming out of the office wall, banking over the display cases and around the redwood tree, ending in an 8 foot drop onto the showroom floor. The two main decks are built, and mostly runged, but the transition between the two is still in the fabrication stage, or more accurately, the shopping stage. We are looking for a solid piece of rough wood, 4.5 to 5.5 feet long, naturally bent into a, uh, about 7 foot radius. Let me know if you have something like that in your yard.

The plumbing project is just as cool. The kitchen sink is hooked up and functional, so that leaves the Kegerator as the last unplumbed component. A good friend has donated a huge GE fridge, and the parts arrived today from the Beverage Factory today to plumb it. We will be keeping a keg chilled for after ride lounging, post work story telling, and the occasional movie night.

Speaking of movie night, a friend of the shop has a couple of DVD’s he would like to share will the masses. Berry and I will be working on the construction of the movie screen this weekend, and Passion will need a DVD projector to make use of that space. It is our intention to have the occasional low key post work/ride flick shown in the shop to help us all through the Winter months and more. Become a friend of the shop with unlimited access to the Lounge for life by donating your old projector to the shop, or even just turn us on to a good deal on a used unit somewhere. Lemme know.
